Newport, what a wonderful city!
When I say Newport, of cause I talk about the one in Rhode Island.
We went there today with camp, and I had a blast! Emma and I walked all over the city, first up and down America Cup's Avenue, which were supposed to be a shopping street, let me tell you something, it is not! We saw no places to shop...So instead we went down on some smaller streets with several shops, and those were all really nice. Gap, Banana Republic, Yankee Candles, ect. I only got myself a pair of sunglasses though, but that's something I've been looking for, for a long time! After shopping for a while, we decided to hid it to the beach.
We therefor started to walk, and that's when we got the see all of Newport, or at least a lot of it, and I gotta say, I just love the city! It's so beautiful, with many lovely houses, big houses, trees, parks, little shops and nice people. On our way we passed an old library, and decided to go in there, and it's was a really beautiful place! When we finally got to the beach, we got some lunch, and then we stayed there for a couple of hours, it was soo hot!
At some point it got a little to hot, and we decided to walk back. On our way, trough a garden, we saw a little market, and there we went to get some tacos, Tallulah's tacos! Those were really great!
After that we walked to the harbor, got some Ben & Jerry's ice-cream, eat it while looking at the countless big boats, and enjoying the nice weather.
When we got back at the camp, I talked to on of my dear friends from home, the always so wonderful Emilie, and it was so much fun, I don't think I've laughed so much for a long time, it was really nice!
Tomorrow we have regular school again, and then there's only one day left here at Bryant University...
