I had an amazing night! With amazing people, and amazing food! It was simply amazing....and great, and wonderful, and funny and so on, you get the idea, right?
Yesterday I got a text from Kathleen, asking if I wanted to come over for dinner today - Chicken burritos and Apple pie- of cause you can't say no to an invitation like that!
So I got on the bus after school today and headed out to West Bath.Walked down to K and D's, but no one was home yet, but I knew K was on her way, so I waited. It was so peaceful! Being in the middle of the woods, with all the beautiful colored trees dropping their leaves while rain slowly falling from the gray sky...Maine is so beautiful this time a year!
Anyway, I didn't wait for very long before I heard the car driving down the dirt road leading to the house, and I saw the red car pulling in. And as I walked in the house saying hallo to to Kathleen, and the kitty and the puppies, Derek came home to. While he took the puppies out, Kathleen and I sat by the piano.
Worked on -what I from now on will refer to as ''the project''- Aquarium, I played Black and Blue, and we played the duets The June-bug Dance, and Golden Slumbers. The duets are definitely becoming one of my favorite things during piano-lessons, it's so much fun! I'm having a blast with it!
Kathleen let me borrow a Jazzy-Christmas-Song-Book that I could play from, cause we were talking about Christmas Songs, and Danish Christmas Songs, and how great Christmas Songs are! Except for the ''churchy'' ones.
After we were finished playing the piano we went to the kitchen. And while I was slicing up things, and Kathleen was -I think- stirring up things, Derek joined us, cause apparently it was his dish! haha
And we had a good laugh, and we talked about this and we talked about that, and we finished cooking, and sat down to eat. It was pretty good! Or I mean, it was really good! Really really good!
Well, so far my american food experience mostly covers food made from a box in a microwave, but still, it was really really good! And after the Burritos, we had an Apple Pie, which was very beautiful, and perfectly shaped -and we probably should have taken a picture of it weather or not anyone had any yesterday, you know, just for fun, my first Apple pie-, but most importantly, it tasted soooo great! If every pie in America is that good, I get why it's such a big thing! I'll tell ya that for sure!
I had an amazing night! With amazing people, and amazing food! It was simply amazing!!!
