It's was just one of those days you know! Yesterday, I was walking through the woods, just gotten of the bus, I was listening to music on my iPod, noticing all the beautiful colors on the trees, the sun was shining, and I just started smiling you know. It was simply a great day!
I had dinner with Kathleen and Derek. New England boiled dinner, and it was really good! Reminded a little of something my grandmother would make! Reminded me of Denmark.
I miss Denmark, but in a nice way. I miss 9.b, and the weakly ballet-practices this time a year, the skiing trip last year, sitting outside in our back yard in the warm summer nights in front of the fire with my family, the joy of being with my cousins, or going to Copenhagen with my girlfriends. Just lying on my floor listening to jazz music, going for a walk in Vordingborg, sitting in my big white chair reading a book, all of those things!
Not in a way that I wanna go home, not at all! Cause at the same time I know, that when I leave the States, it's gonna be exactly the same!
I'm gonna miss my dinners with Kathleen and Derek, my Tuesday and Thursday rides on number 26, picking Gavin up after nap-time or watching The Lion King with Alden. Having a blast playing duets with K, Rock Ensemble, speaking English all the time, discussing the differences between Denmark and America with D, watching movies and eating ice-cream with Mari and Dan and having random conversations with people at school.
Life in America is amazing! And I can't believe how fast time flies by!
