Converting to America

It might not sound like much, but it actually is. Even after six months -where I've come to a place where I like to consider myself partly American- there's still things to experience, learn and laugh about!
Not only am I still trying to get use to all the cheese, sugar, fat, mayonnaise, and missing rye bread. And I'm still working on some of the figures of speaking, and there're still some new words to catch up on. But other things sneak up on me from time to time to. Like speaking, just speaking normally, having a conversation. It comes very naturally, I don't even think about the fact that I'm not speaking Danish. But still, just take what happened today...

Derek: So how was the pool the other day?
Me: It was a lot of kids, and screaming, and balls in my head!

It wasn't until both he and Kathleen started laughing, that I realized what I had just said -which sounded totally fine in my head!

Of cause then there's the measurements, we made Mango Creme today, with a Danish recipe. the question then is, how man grams goes to an oz? How man grams of mango goes in a cup of it? Is mango just a little bit like oatmeal?
It took a lot of measure-cups, spoons and Google to figure all of that out! And the result was surprisingly  good!

I finished all of my finals last week -finals are like exams or ''termins prøver''- you might be interested in seeing this:

This was our final in rockband, we had o write our own song...

This weekend...let's see. Friday Dan, Mari and I went to see Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, amazing book, wonderful movie!
Saturday we went to a flea-market in Brunswick and then Kathleen shot me a text asking if I wanted to get sushi for lunch -can't say no to that, so of we went, and it was gooood!
And we went to Michocci's, a little Italian shop, and guess what we found! -Ryebread! Best I've had for 2 months! I missed it so much!

School over here have been so easy since Thanksgiving. A lot of holidays, Christmas breake, two weeks of just 4 days, then one week with finals -top 3 hours in school a day, one day I didn't even have school- Now I have one full week and then a three-day one before Canada!
I started new semester yesterday. My semester now looks like this:

Blue Days:
CP English
Holocaust
Chorus
Rock Ensemble

White Days:
CP English
Holocaust
AP Human Geography
Music Theory and Composition

I started out with having algebra, but it was way to easy, so I changed it to Holocaust, which should be interesting.

Today I got a letter from the Maine Senate, from the Senate himself. Because I got so good grades -...?- He's inviting me to spend a day with him, how awesome is that, I'm very excited about that!

Also I ordered some sweaters yesterday, so I'll be ready for Canada! Cause it sounds like it could get cold up there...But I'm getting more and more excited for it! Only 9 days!!!
