3 Taps and a Snowday

Did you know, that if you tap a soda or beer can three times on the top before you open it, even though you've shaken it like crazy before, it will not start foaming like crazy or spurt all over you. That's what I did yesterday, or it was the high light of what I did yesterday, part of the high light, let's go with that.

They gave us the day of, because of the "Snowstorm", which was awesome. We'd all heard rumors and we all knew that it was gonna snow, so I think everybody was crossing their fingers. I woke up at five, and looked out the window, but we'd only gotta half an inch or so at that time, so I went back to bed, not even trying to fall back asleep, since I probably had to get up soon anyway, so get ready for school.
But then Mari texted me, the school had called, and it was a snowday. I went back to sleep.

It was great with a day of. I haven't had a full week of school since Thanksgiving - there's been finals, Presidents Day, Parents/Teacher confrences, half a snow day, another American Holiday, Canada and so on - Dude, it's over three months without a hole week of school, I mean come on!

Anyway, I started my snowday with catching up in some homework. Then I went out sledging with Mari and the boys, then we made hot chocolate with mini marshmallows - Yummy!
Then I read, and read and read. We're reading The Hunger Games for English class, and it's surprisingly good.

In the afternoon Kathleen and Derek picked me up, and while I played the piano for a while, Kathleen cooked. -Pork Chops with Mushrooms and tomatoes i a Cream Sauce and Potatosalad, or as we call it in Denmark - Koteletter med Champignoner og Tomater i Floedesovs, og Kartoffel Salat.

Then there was the can opening.
You see, a while ago I told the Dudzic's, that if you tap a can three times before you open it, you won't get it all spurting in your face. Of cause they didn't reallt believe me, so I brought a can of soda to prove it. And it works! Got it on film to prove it. We even double checked it, just to be really sure. Of cause the madness can't stop there, so plans have been made on expanding the experiments, but....we'll see.
