Oh My Gosh! Where to start?
Let's pick up from Monday - Columbus day, which meant a day of from school.
All of my stuff was packed down, cause N had told me, that if the Eosco's didn't get approved, I would be heading down to New Hampshire, and that would happen on Columbus day. N had also told me that she would call me on Saturday or Sunday, which she hadn't, so I decided to call her. She told me that she was on her way to Bath, to talk to the Eosco'. Since EF had told me that getting a family approved could take weeks, I didn't take that for very much, so I had a kinda a lazy day....
An hour went by, and then N called me again, just to ask if I was all packed up and ready to leave. I hesitated a bit, cause I assumed that that meant, that Dan and Mari hadn't gotten approved, and that I was going to New Hampshire. But then N told me, that she would pick me up within a half and hour, and take me to Washington Street. A HALF AN HOUR! Suddenly I was in a hurry getting everything down the stairs and ready to move.
N picked me up, and we drove to Washington Street, talked to Mari and Dan, and N left again. I then found out that The Eosco's were on their way to Squirrel Island - which is this wonderful little island right outside of Booth Bay. So once again I packed my stuff, and before I even really realized what had just happened - I HAD GOTTEN A NEW HOSTFAMILY IN BATH - we were on our way to SI!
So today it's Wednesday, I've missed two days of school and piano-practice while being on Squirrel, but it was a nice way to get to know my new American family. Mari's mother -Martha, or Gaga as they call her- had a beautiful cottage on the island, and that's where we stayed - Dan, Mari, Alden, Gavin, Gaga, Art (Gaga's husband) and me. For 2½ day. We spend the time walking, and talking, and walking a little more. It was nice, and they seem like a very nice family.
Now I am extremely tired, and I have school and piano lessons tomorrow, so I better jump to bed.
