Spring Break

So I realized that I haven't written in here for a hole week, if not longer, and I'm sorry about that, but I've been kept busy!

This week is my Spring Break, or were my Spring Break, cause by now it's almost over. But it's been great, and not to worry, I'll catch you up on it all!
Here goes.

I started my break by going to a boat show with the family. It was held at Brunswick Naval Air Base -or something like that- it was quite cool. We went into a bunch of boats, walked around a bunch of boats, touched a bunch of boats...you get the idea right? It was a boat show.
When we got home Kathleen and Derek picked me up and we went and got ice cream. Yummy! We hadn't seen each other for about three weeks, so there was some catching up to do. After Ice Cream we went to their house and after watching the Bruins loose and the Red Sox win, we had dinner - homemade burgers and improvisational apple pie- it was as always very good.

Sunday the boys went to church, and Dan, Mari and I sat outside enjoying the wonderful weather. We grilled for lunch and watched the boys play with the hose and running around in the garden. I then biked down to the grocery store -because I needed the exercise- and bought what ever we needed for the next day, because...

Monday we all -Dan, Mari, Alden, Gavin, Gaga, Buba, Kirsti, Zach and Me- went to Squirrel Island, to open up the cottage. It was yet another gorgeous day, so we took the boys to the beach where they played with the water and builded Sand Castles. We made lunch, and sat on the porch looking at the ocean. Then we went out to look for buoys and returned with 4 of them. And by then it was time to take the boat back to Boothbay.

Tuesday Mari took the boys, Timmy and Me to the Botanical Garden in Boothbay. It was beautiful, and the boys had a great time, playing in the Children's Garden, which again involved water. But again the weather was amazing - so hot, you would believe it. When I got to Softball practice that day we were all wearing shorts and tank tops, and coach Avery decided to skip cardio for the day, because we all were so hot, just from standing still. We kept running inside to drink water and put on more sunscreen.
At night Dori suggested that we went to see Titanic in 3D, so Maddi, Zhou, Dori and I headed to the movies, but when we got there, Dori realized that we had all seen Titanic already, so she suggested that we went to meet with some friends of here. They were having a bon fire at their private beach. It was so much fun.

Wednesday Mari and I decided to take it slow. She took the boys to Gaga's while I went downtown to the library. That was pretty much all we did for the day. And of cause I went to Softball practice.
When I came home the boys were -for the first time- sleeping in together in Alden's room, although they weren't much for sleeping, so after an hour of laughing and playing I went to them, lay down between them in Alden't king size bed, and read books for them until they were both asleep. Then I sneaked downstairs, and Mari, Dan and I watched Hugo -amazing movie, wonderful music!

Thursday Mari was sick, so the boys and I entertained each other, outside for as long time as possible.
Then I went to practice and Courtney and I had a lot of fun, with out weird ''softball connection''. We'd throw balls in the air, trying to send them to either 1st or 3rd, and they's meet in the middle. And once I got a rolling ball, and it was to far to the left for me to catch it, so I tried to stop it with my foot, and the ball flew and hit Courtney... Luckily she thought it was hilarious.
When I got home from practice, Dan and I went to do some stuff on the boat and just fool around for a bit, without kids. Mari were supposed to come with us, but since she was sick.

Friday morning we went to see the Morse Varsity softball game, just so I could see what was going on. It was fun to see all of my team mates playing. After that we had lunch and then went downtown to get ice cream, and meet with Dan.
On the way down there Gavin spots a sock on the road, and walks over to it.
Me: "No no, we don't pick up stuff on that we find on the ground.
Gavin: "No, that's cause it's yucky. We don't eat it, not for dinner."
And then he just walks on, like what he just said was the most natural in the world. It was very cute!
We returned home after looking at the park, and Derek picked me up. Kathleen and I watched the Red Sox Game, we all watched Top Gear, and then dinner was ready. We had a very nicely done steak, potatoes and biscuits and for desert -yes you guessed it- apple pie!  Yum Yum.

That leads us to today - Saturday. We don't really have any plans the same for tomorrow, but that works for me, cause I still have some homework to do, and I would love some time for playing piano.
And so far, it's been a great break!

Loooong day, even longer week - finally weekend!

Tomorrow Gayle are taking Ciera, Zhou and me shopping for homecoming dresses in Augusta. First we're going to Kohl's and then we're going to Deb. I'm really looking forward to it, trying out crazy dresses and taking pictures of it with Zhou!

Homecoming is next Saturday!! It's the end of Spirit-week, which is of cause next week.
I still don't really get Spirit week, but it does sound like a lot of fun! Every day the school has a dress code:
-Monday - Jersey or shirt with a college or sports team logo.
-Tuesday - Every grade has a color, Seniors are white.
-Wednesday - Twinday! Zhou and I are gonna find matching clothes tomorrow, so we're
  gonna look alike...or not!?
-Thursday - School Color day - BLUE AND WHITE!
We get the Friday of , and then Saturday is homecoming, first the homecoming game, and then the dance!

And look what Kathleen let me borrow for Jersey-day - I LOVE IT!
!!!GO RED SOX!!!

Is it cake?

Today was a great day!
It was Wednesday - late-start! I had cake for breakfast....or well, if you asked America they would say that it's breakfast, but really - it's cake!
I had WAFFLES for breakfast....YUMMY....not an everyday breakfast though, that'll become to much.

Anyway, I walked to the bus - after the ''cake'' I probably needed that - and got to school.
Had Art, where we're now doing pictures ala Pablo Picasso, which is a lot of fun. I just finished mine today, and I gotta admit, I do kinda like the outcome.
After Art I had US History...not my favorite subject, but today it was okay. Not only did I skipped the first 15 minutes because I had to talk to Mr. Paq, I also got to skip another 15 minutes because it was picture-day, and my name happened to be called during 2nd period. As if that wasn't enough, we didn't even really do history today, it was more like geography, so we had to name the states, and some mountains, lakes, rivers and trail on a map - that's the kind of history I like......the non-history part!

So as you might guessed, US History was over pretty quick today, and the I was of to AP Human Geography. Unfortunately Mr. Madden was out today - getting a surgery, nothing serious. We had to do a Power Point about the leaders of the Middle East countries. I'm starting to get the Mac-thing by now I think, but it is still kinda confusing! I kept pressing ''ctrl'' and C, V or Z, which apparently DO NOT work on Mac, so I had to get some help for that. But I did found out what to do - instead of pressing ''ctrl'', you just press ''command'' -I think?- it's that simple!?

Last class was Photography, and Morgan -a sophomore girl in my class- and I had a blast running around taking pictures with our pinhole-camera, though I gotta say, hers worked a lot better, I think the hole in mine has to be a little bigger???
After we were done taking pictures, we were looking at the internet for dresses. Cause Homecoming is coming up, and I have nothing to wear.
Zoo and I are going to Augusta on Saturday, to see if we can each find one, that'll be fun!

After school I had a quick skype-date with the one and only Emilie- who is ''not'' sending me a postcard now that she's going to Barcelona- and then I headed of to Kathleen and Derek's for piano-practice.
K wasn't home but Derek let me in, and time flew by so fast that all of the sudden over an hour had gone by, and Kathleen was home. We chit-chatted for a bit, and the I went home.
Gayle called me to tell me that she and Joel weren't gonna be home for a while, so I went back over to Kathleen and we watched the Red Sox Game....We're cheering extra much for them tonight, if they don't win, and the Tamba Bay's Rays wins over the Yankee's, then the Red Sox are out - so GO RED SOX!!!!

That was pretty much what happened today,  and now I have a some US History homework I gotta do....

But before I do...check out my new scarf I got at Forever XXI! -I also got a pair of jeans, but my camera is out of power, and the quality is really bad with my webcam, even this picture is really bad...I should just delete it.....oh well - enjoy!

GO RED SOX!

Today was kinda lame. Gayle, Joel and I cleaned the house, and  then Gayle and I went out to buy a backpack for me for school - the other one broke...

I think I might got the flue, so now I'm in bed packed in sweater and scarf, and suddenly Noodle soup and the Red Sox vs. Rays game on Fox23 becomes my best friends!
