So I guess I should tell ya'll about prom. But first here's what I did before.
Friday we were supposed to play a game against Winslow, we all changed together, and then walked to the field from school. We warmed up, did softtoss and so on. And before we realized it, it was 15 minutes to the game. There was only one problem. There was no other team. Turned out, the other school had forgotten to tell that they didn't have a team for us to play.
Instead we had a scrimmage -when the team splits up in two teams who play each other- and that was a lot of fun. My team were the Master Batters.
At night Morgan had a bonfire for all JV Baseball and Softball players. We were almost 40 people sitting around a small fire laughing and talking. Playing soccer and eating pizza and strawberries. It was a nice night.
Saturday was prom day. At noon Mari and I went downtown and bought nail polish, and when she and Dan went to the boat, and Gavin took his nap, Alden and I painted our nails, and I curled my hair. Not particularly easy with a four year old wanting to try and play and do everything else at the same time.
Around three Courtney picked me up, and along with Dori, Brianna, Leigh, Morgan, Jacelyn and Maddi, we went to her house to get ready. Make up, bobby pins, dresses and shoes were applied, and we all took a few pictures before going to the Library park.
Everybody were at the Library park, it was a complete mob scene. In high heels and fancy dresses, people were walking around talking pictures with everybody else. That lasted for about an hour, and then we all headed to the dance.
The dance was in Las Vegas style and held at the Taste of Maine. When we got there, there were tables set up, cards, lights, decorations everywhere.
I sat with Courtney, Alex, Leigh, Zach, Brianna, Nate and Zhou. The food was okay, the chocolate cake for desert was really yummy. In a room next to the tables a photographer had set up, and everybody got their pictures taken.
After we had all eaten there was music and dancing in a third room. It was a lot of fun, as soon as people came over the ''weird-not-really-dancing-thing-'' that they've got on over here. Hannah had invited three friends from New York, Kentucky and Massachusetts up, and they were a lot of fun to dance with. We danced for three hours or so, and then the dance was over. I drove with Hannah and her friends to her house, where they changed, and then we went to Brianna's. She was having a bonfire, with food, and marshmallows. We were only 12 or 14 people, but it was a great way of ending a fun night.
